ABOUT THE BIBLE

We believe that all Scripture is inspired by God and is inerrant in the original writings, and that it is of supreme and final authority in faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; John 17:17);

ABOUT GOD

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19);

ABOUT HUMANITY

We believe that, as stated in Genesis, man was created in God’s own image and after His likeness (Genesis 1:27);

ABOUT SIN

We believe that with the fall of Adam, all mankind is born in sin and is totally unable to save himself (Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23; 5:12);

ABOUT JESUS

We believe that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man (Matthew 1:18-25; Romans 9:5; 1 Timothy 2:5);

ABOUT THE DEATH OF JESUS

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, and died in our place, so that all who believe in Him are saved by His shed blood (Isaiah 53:5,6; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Acts 13:38,39;1 John 1:7);

ABOUT THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, ascended bodily into heaven, and is now exalted, seated at the right hand of God as our High Priest, our Representative, our Intercessor, and our Advocate (Mark 16:6; Acts 1:9,10; Hebrews 9:24; 7:25; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1,2);

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith, and that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God (John 1:12,13; 3:6-8; Ephesians 1:13-15; 2:8,9);

ABOUT CHRISTIANS

We believe that Christians are born into the family of God; that they are given new life in order that they might serve; and that divine enabling gifts for service are bestowed by the Spirit upon all who are born again; and that each individual is called to his own divinely appointed service as the Spirit directs (Romans 12:6; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 4:11-13);

ABOUT THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church is a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and of which all true believers are members; that this visible body of believers in Jesus Christ is associated with one another for worship, work, and fellowship; that these visible churches are committed “until He comes” to the observance of believer’s baptism and the Lord’s supper; and that God has laid upon these churches the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as Lord and Master (Ephesians 1:22,23; James 1:27; 1 Peter 2:12; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; 12:13; Matthew 28:19,20; Acts 1:7,8; Romans 6:4);

ABOUT THE RETURN OF JESUS

We believe that there will be an imminent personal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ to gather those who profess Him as Lord and Savior and then to establish His kingdom on earth  (Acts 1:11b; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Matthew 24:29-31; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-16; 20:6);

ABOUT ETERNITY

We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust--the saved to everlasting blessing, and the lost to everlasting conscious punishment (John 5:28,29; Daniel 12:2,3; Matthew 25:46; 2 Thessalonians 1:7b-10).
